Thinking about Botox® or other aesthetic injectables but feeling a little nervous? You’re not alone. Many people have questions — and sometimes a few misconceptions — before their first treatment.
At Jeune MedSpa, we believe the best aesthetic experience starts with education, realistic expectations, and a personalized approach.
Myth #1: “Botox / Xeomin will make me look frozen.”
Reality: When appropriately dosed and thoughtfully placed, Botox / Xeomin can soften the appearance of dynamic wrinkles while allowing you to maintain natural facial expression.
The goal isn’t to change who you are. It’s to help you look refreshed and like yourself — just a little more rested.
Myth #2: “Injectables are only for older people.”
Reality: There is no specific age when someone “should” start injectable treatments.
Your skin, facial anatomy, goals, and lifestyle are much more important than your age.
Myth #3: “If I start Botox, I can never stop.”
Reality: Botox is not permanent and does not create a physical dependence. If you decide to stop treatments, your muscles gradually return toward their previous activity and wrinkles will progressively become visible again.
You’re always in control of whether and when you continue treatment.
Myth #4: “Injectables are extremely painful.”
Reality: Most treatments are relatively quick, and many patients describe the injections as brief pinches or small stings. Your comfort matters, and your provider can discuss ways to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Myth #5: “Everyone will know I had something done.”
Reality: A well-planned treatment should complement your natural features rather than announce that you’ve had a procedure.
At Jeune MedSpa, we focus on subtle, individualized results that respect your facial movement and proportions.
Myth #6: “More product means better results.”
Reality: When it comes to injectables, more isn’t necessarily better. The right amount depends on your anatomy, muscle movement, treatment area, and desired outcome.
Our philosophy is simple: use what you need to achieve the result you want — not simply more.
